Snippet from a feature on Inspired by This from this San Diego Lifestyle Session:
When I found out I was having a girl, I dreamed of our daughter’s room to be special and strong, just like her. Instead of the bubble gum baby pink colors I always saw, I envisioned a dark and peaceful room. I wanted it bold and black, but still feminine. When I saw this Ellie Cashman wallpaper, I knew it was the perfect fit. I’d be spending a lot of time in this room, so I wanted it to be something I loved looking at too! With the dark, impactful floral wallpaper, I brought in subtle accents of mauve, pale pink, gray, white and black. To not make it too overwhelmingly pink, I found the perfect turquoise gliding chair on Craigslist. I painted calligraphy elements in the corner and had her name laser cut in my calligraphy above her changing table. This space has become a calm and inspirational space that I can’t wait to watch Avery Winter grow in! Sarah from This Rad Love captured us three in here on a Sunday morning just perfectly.
